APOSTOLIC VISITATION
Cardinal Rode of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life issued a decree on December 22, 2008 establishing an Apostolic Visitation of apostolic congregations of women religious in the United States.
The Congregation has created a website on the Apostolic Visitation at www.apostolicvisitation.org. According to the website, there are three main goals:
• to look into the quality of apostolic religious life in the United States
• to learn more about the ways in which women religious contribute to the welfare of the Church and society
• to assist the Church to strengthen, enhance and support the growth of the institutes to which the women religious in the United States belong.
