TRENDS 2021

The new version of TRENDS is available now. This is an update to the program with changes in the matrix, and a couple of graphs or charts, the fix of a small “bug” in an earlier version, and now distributed on a USB drive. A committee of TRENDS experts worked with the programmer to update and test the program.

In addition to the Excel based software program, the matrix, MyTrends and the scenario analysis tool, the USB will also have a revised support manual and a pdf “Getting Started” file.

For those religious institutes that bought TRENDS 2015 or TRENDS 2013, the cost for the program, related files and postage and handling will be $45. For institutes that have not bought the earlier version of TRENDS, the cost for the software will be $650.00.

As a reminder the software is only available to religious institutes, not to companies. It is protected by copyright.

RCRI conducted a webinar on TRENDS in August of 2013. Sister Hertha Longo, CSA, one of the developers of the program and an expert consultant, was the presenter. The recorded webinar and handout are available here on our website on the Webinars page.

For more information about "forecasting" in general, we provide below a link to an article written for NATRI in 2003. The article is titled "Forecasting As a Tool for Strategic Planning," and its authors were Hertha Longo, CSA, and Lorelle Elcock, OP.
