Background and General Information

In March of 2012, RCRI launched a new benefit for our members. Beginning that April, we began offering a one-hour webinar each month on a timely topic related to finance, canon law, or civil law. This new service is free to our RCRI subscribers. It has proven not only to be beneficial to our members in the information we are able to convey, but it also is a cost-saving measure for all of us.

Webinars are conducted over the Internet using a service called GoToWebinar. The webinar allows us to provide visual images through PowerPoint presentations and audio through your computer's speakers or over a telephone line. Participants have an opportunity to submit questions ahead of time and to submit written questions during the webinar itself.

Whenever possible, monthly webinars take place on the THIRD FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH at noon Eastern time. On occasion we have to move the date if there is a conflict. We advertise the dates at least ten days, and usually two weeks ahead of the scheduled broadcast.

About two weeks before a webinar is scheduled to take place, those members whose email addresses are registered with RCRI will receive an email containing the link to register for the webinar. Those persons may forward the email to others in the institute who might be interested in the topic of that month's webinar. We also convey this to the RCRI Google Group and will announce it on our Twitter feed and Facebook page.


We are limited to 100 registrants for each webinar. However, you are allowed to have as many participants as you would like gathered in your location to view the webinar. So that we can reach as many of our subscribers who wish to participate, please limit the number of registrants from your religious institute to one. If there is space a few days before the broadcast, we will invite you to register additional members.

We record each webinar that we produce from our office and make it available to our members for later viewing. Some outside presenters are not recorded if they supply their own broadcasting system. NOTE: If you get an error message saying you need a "codec" to view the recorded webinars, you may need the GoToMeeting codec, G2M, installed on the computer. Try this link: If this link does not open for you, use a search engine to search for the "G2M codec" and it will give you a link to the GoToWebinar site to download the G2M codec. You then should be able to view any of the webinars.

If you prefer to have a CD burned for a particular webinar, please send a check for $20 with your request to the webinar coordinator identified below at the address located at the bottom of this page.
